The goal at East Central Middle is to instill in students a sense of grit and determination, pride in accomplishments, and academic competence within a safe and nurturing learning environment that addresses each child’s unique and individual needs and talents.

In 2023 an update to the school's auditorium included 790 Patriot model 30.52.00.30 chairs. Plastic components were supplied in black and the steel standards were powder coated (painted) in charcoal grey.
