Lucas Oil Stadium
Maximizing Venue Flexibility
Lucas Oil Stadium, home of the NFL's Indianapolis Colts, opened its doors in 2008, boasting the distinction of being the first stadium with two retractable roof panels and operable window panels in both end zones. These features allow for a remarkable opening process of approximately 11 minutes. Beyond its role as host to 8+ NFL games annually, the stadium serves as a versatile venue for concerts, tradeshows, and prestigious events like the NCAA Final Four. Recently, in 2024, the stadium was creatively repurposed as the venue for the U.S. Olympic Swimming Trials, showcasing its adaptability.
Irwin Seating provided four fixed seating models alongside wall-attached and portable telescopic units, providing Lucas Oil Stadium with the flexibility necessary for its diverse range of events. The transformation into an aquatic venue for the Swimming Trials stands as a testament to the ingenuity and skill of the Lucas crew.
