Specification:
Aisle standards shall be decorative aluminum castings of a period style as detailed in the contract drawings, or as approved by the project authority. The decorative aluminum castings shall feature an upper marquee portion of the standard, an ornate, low-level decorative cross-brace, and flanged decorative cast legs. The marquee portion shall be approx. 9-1/2” wide and shall be bordered by vertically fluted columns enclosing a vertical, rectangular, pebbled, decorative center with notched corners. The notched corners of the vertical decorative rectangle shall enclose multi-petal flower blossoms. The cast aluminum standards shall be floor mounted and of proper thickness and design required to properly support the adjacent chair at the correct height and pitch. The exposed surface of the aluminum casting aisle standards shall be base-coated with an electrostatically applied powder coat, and decorated with enamel in accordance with the architect's instructions in the contract drawings (minimum of one decorative color above the powder base coat). Aisle standards shall be provided with cast aluminum lugs for supporting aisle standard armrests.
